Terrazoo, Kit Kat & Palm Trees

Terrazzo , Kit Kat, & Palm Trees

The ensuite has so much warmth and texture, which is wonderful as bathrooms can be cold and a bit on the clinical side. While they have stayed with the popular grey and white theme there are real points of interest that take this bathroom to the next level.

Terrazzo! Yes, it is on trend now, but it has also been around for centuries. And for good reason, its super durable and now comes in easy-to-use tiles, slabs or pour directly onto the surface. It also creates interest and suits many different styles, including modern, mid-century to industrial and even traditional.

Here our client has chosen a grey and white terrazzo tile which has larger, chucker inclusions making it a bold choice. But they have kept the rest of the palette paired back with soft greys and warm timber tones.

A soft grey kit kat tile has been vertically stacked along a complete wall, not only does it create interest it also elongates the space, making the bathroom appear taller. Note the vertical towel rails keep with the vertical theme.

Large grey tiles wrap around the remaining walls, from floor to ceiling. If you look closely you will see palm trees printed on the tile. Think tropical island!

The shower screen is kept frameless so to not overshadow the space. Simple black tapware keeping with the paired back palette.

To soften the room a custom-made timber vanity has been installed. As an ensuite storage space is highly valued so being custom built the vanity could wrap around the plumping and wall stack to ensure no space was wasted.

The curved vanity cabinet mirror removes the hard edges and keeps with the warmth of the room.
