2 x Bathroom transformations - Tingalpa, Brisbane
The brief was to create bright and airy bathrooms with a classic modern, sophisticated aesthetic.
One of the original bathrooms lacked good natural light and the tiles were very dark, creating a very heavy atmosphere.
Working within a tight budget, I incorporated 300 x 600mm soft matt finish white tiles on the main walls, so I could invest in a beautiful Italian feature tile.
The tile pattern creates a sense of rippling water and the floor tile 600 x 600mm also has some lovely movement in it, which provides a more natural classic design.
Good lighting is important to making any space look big and open, so as well as the downlights, I decided to incorporate beautiful sconce above the vanity which provides additional good lighting and elegance. The floating vanities also make the area feel a notch more open. I love including a piece of artwork in bathrooms to provide a bit of interest and to create a room you would want to spend time and relax in!
