When the clients engaged a designer, the brief needed to accommodate their three teenagers which included a private retreat with ensuite for their eldest as she would be coming and going more frequently, and a good multipurpose room for all. They also wanted a house that wouldn’t age. In the past, the clients had used project home builders but this time wanted a timeless home that would ooze quality and elegance for many years to come.

The result is this streamlined contemporary Hamptons-style home which makes good use of the slightly sloping elevated block. Its split-level layout features an open plan kitchen, sleek living room and study nook which all opens to a natural stone cladded outdoor area complete with pool.
