Northgate Queenslander Renovation
Our Northgate project is the essence of a true renovation, the home has been completely transformed from a post war build into a wonderful modern family home.
Key to our design was retaining the family home charm, our clients desire was to see a quality built home that would last multiple generations.
In addition to the home we designed a new pool and outdoor pavilion and external fire place to the rear of the property that connects wonderfully with the open plan living on the ground floor ensuring a great indoor outdoor lifestyle.
Central to our design was ensuring the home catered for a growing family, introducing an open plan to the rear of the property connects the house to the outdoors, however more was needed!
We wanted to ensure more intimate spaces such as the sunken lounge room were not overlooked, additionally a multi-purpose room to the upper floor allows for additional break out space.
Our design also promoted functional and practical spaces such as a mud room, butlers pantry, study nook and custom designed walk in robe to allow our clients to live in the home rather than just exist!
The building form aims to be sympathetic to the character of the street while incorporating traditional building materials allowing easy maintenance and that classic look.
Internally the chosen materials combine natural timber and stone to ensure that timeless feel.
