Bought off the plan, this apartment in an upmarket retirement complex in the elite suburb of Ascot in Brisbane had a lovely aspect and brand new finishes but was lacking a feeling of home and a personal touch. A palette of soft blues, turquoise and neutrals mixed with the natural textures of leather and rattan has created a living and dining area that is a warm and welcoming space for a retired couple to enjoy. While the guest room features a neutral palette to create a classic hotel style room for guests, the main bedroom, entry and study feature hot pinks, mint greens and pretty blues bringing life and joy to these spaces. The artwork featuring Australian contemporary art and photography and indigenous art was carefully selected with the clients to reflect their love of and interest in art.
