The inner city suburbs of Brisbane feature pockets of green tree lined streets with pretty Queenslander cottages, some renovated and some waiting for a makeover. Renovated or not they have a lovely character within featuring VJ walls, stained glass windows, French doors, and open verandahs.

This Queenslander cottage in the suburb of Bardon is no exception. The young couple who live here had completed a renovation prior to having children but after their first child was born realised they needed to create a living / dining and playroom space off the kitchen where they spend most of their time.
