Avenues Family House
In 2016, a thoroughly San Francisco family of 5 brought me on to create fun, flexible hosting spaces in their front formal living room and dining room. Their vision was to create a home where the family could host versatile gatherings, from grown-up dinner parties, to kid-friendly game nights. A walnut ping pong dining table set the tone for their dining room, and we transformed the formal living room from an impromptu storage area into a luxe, versatile space for entertaining.
Then in 2019, the family brought me back to help realize their larger renovation project, which included creating an open concept family room + kitchen, designing the powder room, and completely reimagining the upstairs bedrooms’ floor plans to create a sunny shared bedroom for their boys, a vastly improved shared kids’ bathroom, and a new kiddo lounge + homework space (not photographed). We completed this project in early Spring 2020.
