Beecroft

This is a beautiful house was a new build for a lovely family of five. This house is absolutely stunning and offers homely comfort perfectly embellished with high end finishes and flawless Coco Republic furniture.

The clients wanted roman blinds in a white fabric that was easy to operate and complemented the modern interior design. This coupled with white shutters at the front of the house set the window furnishings tone as clean, neat and modern while being practical and easy to care for by a busy family.

The roman blind fabric chosen was a pre shrunk 100% linen imported from Belgium. The blind system that we chose to house the fabric was a chain driven aluminium headed rail that is more expensive than traditional roman builds but worth the investment in regards to its longevity. A roman with a chain drive has a continuous chain which doesn’t ever change in length as the roman is being operated. A traditional romans pull cord will extend in length as the blind is operated to the open position. The cord becomes a chocking hazard for children and can also look unsightly as it is looped around fitted cleats. Chain drives also put a lot less stress on the blind as they have a gearing.

The shutters were a Bass wood in a warm white with 89mm blades and hidden tilt rods. As mentioned our client chose to fit shutters to all windows facing the street to create a modern consistent look. It should also be mentioned that we chose to put a shutter in the bathroom as they handle the moist environment better than a cloth product.

All and all, this family are very happy with their window furnishings, we can see why!
