This family house is located in Vaucluse, and was important to offer durability, excellent aesthetic appeal, a high end finish and installation to remain true to the client and house style.
Glare and heat were flagged as issues that needed to be addressed upstairs. Hunter Douglas skylight cellular blinds in ‘parchment’ colour fit the bill for the eight skylights.
The black screen roller blinds from our Chadwick Designs Range (with 3% openness) in the lounge were picked to minimize glare and maximize privacy while still being able to drink in incredible the view. Having a black screen is a fantastic option for a window with a view. The screen does not reflect any internal light so this allows your eye to easily still see the view.

The bedrooms have a heavenly hotel feel complete with decadent chandelier and silk feature walls. We needed to embrace this so the curtains were double layered, back-to-back translucent fabrics. This meant they are not completely block out but offer darkness and privacy with a gorgeous finish. They were hung on 28mm decorative S fold pole which complimented the Spanish inspired interior.
The finials are one of a kind. We had them crafted by hand to match the classic doorknobs of down stairs. It is details like this that makes all the difference. The fabric is an exclusive Chadwick Designs linen imported from Italy. Importantly, the curtain length allowed them to gracefully rest on the ground which was the final touch of decadence.
