The clients were interested in a contemporary style of architecture and one that could facilitate a modern lifestyle.

Working from home as a graphic designer, for the client, the space needed to be functional, light filled and inspiring. The house is long and thin, stretching out along the corner block and oriented towards the coastal strip of Casaurinas lining the beach to the north-east. The material palette borrows heavily from a coastal inspired palette with Barestone panelling, weatherboards and timber to accent external ceilings and internal cabinetry. The combination of planning, function, material palette and form act to create an overall clean and contemporary look and feel.
