When I first met Kellie, a working professional, wife and mother of two beautiful daughters under 12 years old, she expressed to me her struggle with keeping her two daughters bedrooms not only clean, but organised!

Kellie already had great vertical storage in both rooms, so our focus was on creating a system that she and her girls could follow to keep these rooms cleaner for longer.

One of the easiest way to make it easier for kids to "keep up with the tidy up" is CLEAR CATEGORIES.... Keeping all the barbies together, the craft items together, the books together etc.. AND subcategories such as barbie dolls, barbie accessories & barbie clothes etc

As her girls are at reading age, clear labels came in handy and also assists all members of the household when tidying up (or use image labels for smaller kids who aren't reading just yet). Colour coordination also makes tidying up fun and encourages kids to match items with their coloured counterparts.
