The Hubert Coane Residence is located at the convergence of two lot alignments, creating a wedge shaped site. The design responds to this by providing a solid masonry plinth to one boundary alignment and a linear zinc linear form to the other. The masonry plinth is designed to create a sense of solidity and continues into the main circulation corridor of the house. The linear zinc form has large cut aways that allow control of light and ventilation.
