Compact Dwelling Junction House
On a tight block with north to the street, this project required town planning due to the small lot size.
Neighbourhood character, side setback constraints, solar access challenge drove the design outcome of the dwelling. The potential dark/ dingy back rooms of the house were avoided by cleverly placed voids within the side setback allowance to bring light to ground floor. Raising the mass and living to the upper floor enabled a generous front north balcony with views of the city scape, and connected with warm and bright lounge, dinning and kitchen area.
Designed and built by Positive Footprints.
