This Deepdene home had been in the same family for 2 generations. It was now time to provide a modern haven for the third generation and their growing family.

While it had served its previous owners well, it was time to open up North facing rooms, refresh some existing spaces, and overhaul the floor layout to bring it in to the 21st century.

Our clients’ brief was to provide more space, let in more light, incorporate some luxury, and to create a place for everything.

One specific request was to create a “bar” area for our client’s collection of spirits. By integrating this into the kitchen layout and close to the dining area; the bar is quite a feature – especially at dinner parties!

There is ample space in the new main Living area and the new kitchen is in a timeless classical style that will take this family in to the next phases of life.

Tucking the Laundry and Pantry in behind the kitchen has not only provided a separate space for each but also acts as prep areas when entertaining a crowd.

The children’s bedrooms are a haven with plenty of personality and the Master bedroom complete with WIR and Ensuite which has a luxurious feel while incorporating the period detail of the old living room.

A touch of modern personality was added by installing tall steel doors, taking you from the hall to the rear living areas.

Here’s to the next generations of enjoyment –we’ll drink to that (from the bar of course!)
