The Homeowner of this gorgeous heritage-listed single fronted Victorian cottage engaged Period Extensions & Designs to undertake a second storey addition, as well as a ground floor extension.

The client’s brief was simple – to add a master bedroom, ensuite and a walk-in robe upstairs. Our designer, Bill Blankfield, came up with a design that sees the extension to this home flow seamlessly into the existing whilst retaining the simple lines of the elegant period features.

This light-filled home features an open tread staircase offering a warm and welcoming feel to the home. At the top of the modern timber staircase is a spacious landing that offers beautiful glimpses of the cityscape.

Whilst respecting the existing architecture, we modernised the downstairs with the addition of an open plan kitchen, dining and living space. The adjacent courtyard forms an extension of the living space, as well as provides a tranquil space to relax for hours.
