Dunlop Family Home
A colourful delight
The client’s key aspirations were to keep it simple and within budget, while still expressing their vision for a vibrant family home. From the street, bursts of colour in the timber battens and garage door accentuate the playful nature of the family with bright blue and green wall cladding facing out to the private outdoor play areas.
The flexibility for a growing family also formed elements of the design. The boy’s play room is open to the main living area for while they are young, with the ability to close its large colourful sliding door and function as a second living room when required.
Design simplicity with sun-filled living areas and high windows providing natural light to the kid’s bedrooms and hallway are some of the project architect’s favourite features. This home captures a focus on functionality, comfort, liveability and the family’s sense of fun.
