Jamie Durie’s design studio has evolved today into a multi-disciplinary design practice in areas of architecture, interior design, landscape, & his greatest passion, furniture design.
Durie’s first furniture collection was designed & created over a decade ago & has since retailed in over 200 department stores throughout Australia under the PATIO BY JAMIE DURIE brand. Durie and his team of designers work continues to be inspired by nature and this brand has evolved into the JAMIE DURIE HOME product range and it stands for democratic design with the belief that good design should be for everyone.
Durie & his team have created a unique design language & coined it ‘transterior’ & has become well known for creating seamless transitions between the indoors & out. The furniture range is made of mixed materials such as FSC timber, Petan wicker and aluminum which give customers the versatility and ability to mix different pieces from various collections and customize their own look to suit their own outdoor space and the way they want to live and entertain – everything is designed to work together seamlessly!
Durie stands behind his philosophy of blurring the boundaries between the outdoors & the indoors, thereby giving our customers the ability of having a greater connection to nature in a sophisticated & carefully considered design environment.
