The brief for this design was very budget driven. The challenge was to create a low cost family home with a modern appearance on a very small 327m2 block in Sydney's Leichhardt. Simple construction methods with interesting cubic shapes were adopted. The design adopted many sustainable design principles to further keep the cost of living down for the owner.
