Macauleys Restaurant

A very dated and dreary restaurant has been transformed with a simple façade and an internal facelift. Clever use of colour and texture plus improved lighting has brought this restaurant up to date for it’s new owners.

Straw ceilings were retained with many of the existing surfaces reclad in fresh new materials to give a clean, crisp look with a grassy ‘beach arrangement’ offering privacy and adding a coastal feel to the scheme. Simple resurfacing of the bathroom bench and new basins plus the introduction of a red venetian blind gave a very economical new updated look to this area.

Polishing the concrete on the alfresco dining area, adding new pot plants, feature wall and beach prints really softened the look which meant the owners could retain the existing timber furniture and save many thousands of dollars.
