Manhattan via Melbourne kitchen, ensuite + bathroom

The owners of this 3 story Port Melbourne town house wanted their Bayside home to reflect their glamour and style. Ensuring each space was unique, yet subtly tying the spaces back to one another with details such as profiled doors and matching tap ware in alternative finishes. The original rooms failed to adequately utilise the space therefore innovative design solutions were high on the priority list when designing to the clients ‘Manhattan via Melbourne’ brief.

It was important to the clients that the kitchen incorporated smart appliances as well as smart internal solutions, keeping in mind that this room was not only required to be functional but also a glamorous area for the clients to entertain. A bath in the home was a must therefore form was desired over function in the main bathroom with a lavish free standing bath and bespoke shower curtain allowing guests to use the space as required. The use of texture, depth and alternative materials was something that the clients did not want to shy away from which was encouraged by our design team. Bespoke joinery crossed the line from cabinetry to artisan crafted furniture, sitting lightly in the bathrooms and demanding attention in the kitchen.

The rooms are a bespoke reflection of the client’s refined taste with each room making an impression. The designs display distinct attention to the finer details, yet out bursts of charm such as the use of fun patterned tiles and curved kitchen bench top.
