This project, for a client who lets out high-end luxury properties throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, was a "baptism by fire" of sorts. I had not completely fitted out a property before from a blank floor plan (without any dimensions included). There was no access until completion, as this apartment is on the 40th floor, so all furnishings had to be ordered prior to access, so that the client would not be delayed in renting out the apartment to guests. The brief was to create "the best apartment in Melbourne" which was to include a stone fireplace, floating bed, mood lighting, motorised blinds and a colour therapy shower. At only 64m2, the apartment was not going to be the most spacious apartment in Melbourne, but with some visual tricks, we have managed to make it feel bigger than it is.
