This 1940s house was built by the recently passed owner, who had all the best decorative elements of the period included in this family home that was treasured by three generations. However, time had dated the decor and changes in climate had moved the floors a little, and this little suburban gem was in danger of being flattened by a bulldozer for an all too common in these parts townhouse development. Luckily, the owner's family were committed to presenting this home in a fresh, updated way in the hope that a young family would preserve it for another couple of generations - at least.
We presented a list of must do's, should do's and nice to do's for the family to work from and they came up trumps, ticking off every last item on the maintenance and improvement list! the results more than paid for themselves at auction time. It was p[urchased by young newly weds with a love for all its unique period details. All the hard work paid off with a happy ever after ;)
