Occasionally a bathroom with no windows pops up and the challenge to create a light, airy, zen feeling space with texture and an overall calming feeling was presented to us.
Changing the entire floor plan by moving the shower recess to a new position under the sky light, created areas that were light and pleasant to be in. With the use of both the sky light and well placed lighting there are no dark corners in this bathroom. A feature tile panel, off set in the shower, draws the eye to the walk in shower area. The feature tiles are an Artisan wall tile that creates both interest and texture to the room.
The calming colour palette and the large format textured wall and floor tiles compliment the Artisan feature tiles and the play of light in the room at different times of the day delivers the zen mood environment the client had requested.
