Renovating An Existing 1980’s Bathroom.

Something a little different.

Renovating an existing 1980’s bathroom meant retaining the original floor plan. With careful attention to a new decor, we successfully transformed the room. We added some dramatic features with the selection of tiles with a waved pattern and Black Phoenix tap fittings. Special feature was the addition of three niches to store knick-knacks. Two niches are above the bathtub and one on the wall, which includes a mirror backing. The The end result was exactly what our customer wanted.

“We decided to renovate our bathroom ourselves but ran into a problem. It is the original 1984 design and we couldn’t find tiles that matched the décor. Space was also limited because we had to use the same footprint.

There was a blank wall opposite the shower recess that needed something. We wanted to put a niche into the wall and above the bath. We spoke to other tradespeople who all told us that it couldn’t be done.

Luckily, I spoke to Tony from Bathtime Bathrooms and met with Wayne soon after. Wayne listened to me calmly and understood what we wanted straight away. He also suggested a change in colours so it was easier to accessorise the room.

The result is perfect. We love the new décor, fittings and taps. The niches give us a place to store knick-knacks and the one on the wall has a mirror inside so you can see the back of your head!

Tony, Wayne and the team were very versatile. All the Bathtime Bathrooms’ tradespeople listened, checked our plan and got to work. They were professional, did a great job and cleaned up afterward.

We are really happy with each tradesperson’s work. Nothing was a hassle for them. They worked as a team. If a task wasn’t their expertise, they passed it onto the tradie that was the best at the role.

Most importantly, you can tell that every member of the team is proud of their workmanship and respect each other. It made us feel confident that we had the right people for our renovation and we love the end result.”
