Taking care of specialized bathroom needs

This bathroom needed to be remodeled to meet disability standards. Family bathrooms can be difficult to maneuver when someone has limited mobility.

Along with standard handrails, we fitted a special wall-mounted toilet, a walk-in shower base and taps that can be turned with ease. Just because a bathroom is designed to improve access, doesn’t mean it has to look dull and uninteresting. Bathtime Bathrooms installed classic white wall tiles complimented by Sahara 600mm x 300mm floor tiles. A Timberline wall-mounted vanity unit matches the colour of the floor tiles. Other safety-focused features include:

* Strong, clear lighting
* A towel rail set under the bathroom cabinet and not jutting out into the open space,
* LED lighting in the drawers to make it easier to find things
* Efficient drainage to keep the floor slip-free.

The result is a safe bathroom which is pleasant and easy to use.
