This near-new apartment at Teneriffe was given a minor facelift and then fully furnished for my client, who was downsizing from a large family home in the suburbs. The apartment was repainted, and we replaced the existing carpet with French oak floor boards, which gave it an immediate lift and point of difference. I sourced much of the furniture through design trade agencies, which enabled me to purchase items for my client at less than retail costs. We created a neutral palette of taupes and greys, and introduced splashes of colours through scatter cushions and artworks. We then introduced some tan, gold and brass tones to give it a slightly more glamorous feel, with items such as the leather butterfly chair, brass and marble coffee table, and the peach mirror in the dining room.
