This growing family of 5 loved their Classic Craftsman Home, but it lacked a distinct foyer-the front door opens right into the living area. They wanted to create a formal foyer to match the historic charm of their 1906 Craftsman style home to help keep everything tidy and out of sight.

The leaded glass windows were throughout the main floor and a part of the entry door design. The homeowner wanted this to stay, and we built a design with the cabinetry to center off the window, keeping the beautiful leaded glass window as a feature of the space.

The built-ins are well thought-out. Featuring adjustable shelves for shoes at the bottom, drawers for devices, cubbies big enough to sit in while putting on shoes, hooks for coats and bags, umbrellas and other smaller accessories.

This formal entry way now has many specialty details and finishes that make a stunning first impression. A creamy paint color offsets that dark custom crown molding and richly toned cabinets warm this light filled entryway. Custom Shaker-style cabinetry painted a warm blue-gray offer storage with multiple walls of hooks and storage cubbies. The marble countertop was selected to highlight the cabinets, and wainscoting is a nod to the architecture of the rest of the home. The wood on the benches was stained to match the trim and columns. The new, vintage looking crystal chandelier helps tie the entire space together.
