Wembley New Liveable Home

Built for universal access this three bedroom, two bathroom home has been designed specifically to suit the client’s needs. The owners purchased 29 Jukes Way, Wembley with the aim of knocking down the original 1970’s home and building a contemporary home to raise their family. Being both in wheelchairs, the owners wanted to work closely with Solar Dwellings and Nulook Homes to design a functional, family friendly home that met their specific living requirements.
To ensure the home is as liveable as possible the concrete slabs have been poured at different levels to enable the different flooring types to sit flush with each other. The cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen areas have been designed to fit the client’s wheelchairs underneath for ease of access.
Both bathrooms have been fitted with grab rails to the toilets, non slip tiles have also been installed to these areas and in the ensuite we have installed a 180° hinged shower screen to make the shower easily accessible for the clients.
The garage has also been designed to fit wheelchairs next to both parked cars and the concrete level is flush with the bamboo flooring in the entry. We have also created wider paths around the garden for easy access to their native plants and so they can take care of their garden.
With an abundance of natural light, its passive solar design creates a comfortable atmosphere throughout the home and has been built to an exceptional standard with quality finishes that Nulook Homes is renowned for.
