Thank you for the great work done on our son's home renovations we were extremely pleased with the end result and thanks to Brent for making this easy, especially through the COVID 19 shut down.

Nulook built our single-level home to a Solar Dwellings design. They were chosen based on their ability to deliver quality projects -viewing their previous projects and positive feedbacks from the owners. The building was on the site of our former bungalow; demolition in February 2020, construction started in March and completed on schedule in November. No delays due to COVID. This was our first new build and intended to last us for the long term through retirement. The staff at Nulook looked after us really well, kept us informed and provided excellent advice. The project manager was exceptional in managing the trades and providing valuable feedback. They have a regular team of reliable tradesmen who delivered first class results. We are very pleased with our new home.

The team at Nulook worked very hard to make building our new house the best experience possible. They were responsive & no question was too much trouble for them (I asked many questions!). They would always work hard to sort things out. Nulook were really accommodating - there were instances where I must have spent over an hour discussing the detail of a particular option & then we would elect not to go ahead! :P Nulook were really flexible though - if at all possible things can be added/taken away from the contract as we go along - no problem to them at all. All the staff are a pleasure to deal with & very professional - in particular: Brent, Peter, Julie & Laura. The trades they use often have a long history of working with Nulook, which we thought was a good sign. All their tradies take a lot of pride in their work & were happy to walk us through what they are doing when we visited site. Likewise Brent (co-owner & site supervisor) would always talk us through what was happening & what was to come whenever we saw him onsite or spoke on the phone. As we progressed through the build it became clear that no matter what challenges may come up, we could trust Nulook to sort it out in the best way possible. They would contact us proactively to meet onsite & discuss anything they felt required extra discussion. The quality of workmanship is outstanding & handover occurred 2 days earlier than scheduled! I've liaised with Nulook extensively since handover for their advice on things I've done after handover. For example, how the hard surfacing would affect the weep holes because we have flush thresholds. They could not have been more supportive & helpful, even though we'd had handover & made final payments (and this was work that could have been done through them, but they were very accepting of us electing what to do through them & what we wanted to do ourselves - there was never any pressure, even though these items would have been eligible for 'builders margin'). If I built again, I would definitely use Nulook!

We have just finished building with Nu Look Homes and cannot stress how happy we are! They were recommended to us and we can see why. From the beginning we were guided through the process with Peter and Julie, who helped make all of our selections seamless. Then Brent the building supervisor who was always available for anything we needed at any time. Their tradesmen did an excellent job and were all so polite when we visited. Laura the receptionist is just lovely and such an asset to the business. We had the best experience building our first home with Nulook Homes! When I started looking around couple years ago, I came across mostly a list of project builders which are more commonly known by the public. A friend of mine then shared and raved about his experience building with Nulook Home. I then took my time to compare Nulook Homes with another 2 WA very well known luxury project builders. Peter was very patient and passionate with what he does. He took his time to answer every single questions I had (and I had lots of them!). Long story short, we signed to build with Nulook Homes and we are glad that we did. They have the most professional and meticulous trades people. Brent and Julie were exceptional and accommodating during the build and now Laura during the maintenance period - what a team! Very happy with our new home. We had an Independent Building Inspector who helped us during the PC inspection and his overall comment said it all "Exceptional finishes and one of the best tile-job I've ever seen". Again glad we went with Nulook Homes. Highly recommend!

We've been in our new house for almost 18 months now, we're stoked with the outcome and the experience. I think this says a lot, since it's our first build and most people I've known completely have the shits with building by the end of the process and swear to never do it again. I couldn't be happier with our experience with Nulook homes. From the initial consultation meetings with Peter approx 2 years ago right through to having minor maintenance issues fixed post handover and through the maintenance period, these guys have been courteous, professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Without exception I really like every single Nulook team member and tradie I met and would recommend them without hesitation. Their service was exceptional, every person in the team made a great impression on me. We've had a custom modern 4x2 home built from a design by Nulook's associated designer Darren (of Paramount Design). For a very small outlay he came up with a fantastic custom design for our block specifications and vague requirements. Nulook then took care of detailed drawings for the build. Now we are living in it, I can't fault the layout or any particular element, everything works well. Nulook provided the flexibility we wanted to self supply some of the cabinetry, fittings and tiles where we managed to organise special deals through friends, we managed to save a good deal of money and increase the finishing spec this way. Brent our supervisor was so accommodating even when I started getting in his way towards the end of the build with my landscaping work. He organised things around my activities and never once complained. Our neighbours continually complimented the conduct of Brent (supervisor) and all the trades onsite. The contrast from another build I was watching across the road from our prior house couldn't be more stark. I was literally scared and in constant conflict with the guys across the road, while on our site it was like meeting old friends or a group of high EQers on a team building workshop! The quality and professionalism of all the Nulook tradesman was evident throughout, we could never really fault the work; and I'm happy to say that the same guys who built our house are the ones who come and look at any issues I've raised since handover (very minor), and all appear to have been working for Nulook long term. Of course there were many issues and difficult decisions during the planning and build; I'm the kind of person that can get emotional if I think things are not going well, but everything I raised during the course of the planning phases and build, Nulook handled calmly and professionally and resolved to our complete satisfaction. Communication with Brent during the build and the rest of the team during planning and selection was always thorough and efficient. The house is performing so well and is super comfortable through the last summer heat and now finally through some heavy rain. As I look around at every detail it gives me great pleasure to note the high level of workmanship and attention to detail. We have such good memories of all the interactions between us and Nulook and tradesmen. In the end I believe we got exceptional value for money from Nulook. We were recommended by Solar Dwellings to Nu Look Homes and were so happy that we chose them. It was our first home that we have ever built and their attention to detail was fantastic. Nothing was any trouble, even down to helping me with the design of the tiling in the bathroom. Julie was so helpful and the rest of the team made the whole building process run smoothly. We would highly recommend them.

Just had a reno done by Nulook to my 50s house and I love it. If you don't know anything about construction and don't want to be disappointed, these are the guys to hire. They really love what they do and do it well. They take pride of their work and that means: quality work, mistakes are corrected without hesitating, regular progress report, skilled traders and a lovely result. I 100% recommend these guys (note: I interviewed at least 10 builders before meeting Nulook's team)

We contracted Nulook to do a reno/extension to our 50s style house. I highly recommend these guys, they were respectful, very easy to deal with, always cleaned up and made a real effort to get a good outcome for us. We heard of nightmare renovations from other people, but with Nulook there was none of that, everything went smoothly and was done well. All the trades that came were friendly, professional and were willing to work in with us and took on board any ideas we had. The office staff at Nulook are fantastic, friendly and on the ball.

Thankyou Solar Dwellings for recommending NuLook Homes to us. We had big plans to build a sustainable home that we intended to live in for the foreseeable future. We had done our 'homework', and knew finding and selecting a builder that could offer efficient and transparent contract administration, quality supervision and trades, and an overall final construction that ticked our sustainability goals and that we could afford, love and call home was essential. We recommend Nulook as they have it all and here's why: 1. From the very first meeting you are dealing with the owners and a team of super friendly/helpful staff. You know they know their stuff because they were able to simply explain every part of the build lifecycle from design/drawings to handing over the keys at any level of detail we asked. And we really dived into the detail because we needed to kick so many sustainability goals without breaking the budget or timeline. 2. Every item discussed and decision made was recorded and followed up on - which for us was perfect as there is so much to go through and the goal is to visit each item on the build checklist only once. 3. There was no change to big or small that they couldn't or wouldn't accommodate - and we had a few of them, but when you are dealing with a company that has impeccable administration and construction capability it is so much easier to navigate the options and position yourselves to make the best decisions available. 4. This is backed up on site through a level of supervision that surprised us at how good it was - no request, job and/or feedback was too hard to deal with and we felt completely 'at home' discussing any issues or changes that popped up. Everything was dealt with as a priority which made us feel important when you know they had a bunch of other builds on at the same time. 5. The trades and contractors used were excellent and there was such clear respect by them for the supervisors and owners of Nulook which says more than we can ever relay here. 6. We were given clear timelines and these were updated as progress was made - with the whole build coming in on their original timeline and as per their original budget - adjusted for our changes of course. As a project manager myself this was critical. 7. The handover was extremely simple, clean and proactive in terms of finalising some post handover items and minor fixes which helped us coordinate the rental and those things we still had to do ourselves. The administration that we had loved the entire way through the process didn't finish until full handover of warranties, all the relevant documentation needed for ongoing maintenance and follow up of any remaining items. We kicked all the sustainability goals we could by using a builder that was prepared to look at a number of new ways of doing things without compromising on construction quality. Here are some examples of what Nulook helped us achieve: - we split the outer house shell into 3 separate dwellings with separate power and water to each future area - we installed a unique first floor wall insulation, air cell and cladding solution to keep heat out while ensuring the building breathes - we have dual plumbing for 8000+ litres of rain water storage and grey water to all allowable sinks and showers - we have service provision between the floors which has allowed us to put in the 5.72kwH solar/battery storage solution - a living roof over 40+m2 of available roof space - we achieved an 8.3+ energy star rating and gold standard E-tool lifecycle rating - we have used recycled timber for cladding and decking - universal access i.e. wheelchair, for all ground floor living spaces including external area access We love our new place and can't thank the team at Nulook enough for helping us make this happen. We built our very first home with Nulook homes. It was completed in May this year (2016). Based on all the horror stories we’d heard from friends who’d built, we had resisted building for years. Our old home was way too big for our current needs, but we loved the location. We explored all other avenues (renovating, selling and moving, subdividing) but finally realised building made the most sense for us. So we demolished the old home and moved into a rental for the duration of the build. I wanted a solar passive home, and had the design done by Solar Dwellings. We then costed the build with 3 builders—two recommended by Solar Dwellings (Nulook being one) and one of our own choices. We chose Nulook not so much for the price (they came in the middle), but for their willingness to listen, advise on, and execute the many non-standard options I wanted. I can’t begin to explain how pleased I’ve been with both the process, and the final product. 1. The build itself was completed in 10 months. All up we were in our rental 13 months (time for demolition and after-handover work). Handover came in 4 weeks late, but this was due to delays by a separate kitchen supplier I had chosen. 2. From planning to completion, communication was timely, and clear. They did a lot of research for me and made sure I understood the ramifications of my choices. 3. Our next door neighbour is a retired builder, and our best friend is a retired cabinet maker, and both said the quality of work was above par, and that *they* would choose Nulook as a builder. 4. We’ve had multiple times when outside tradesmen have commented on the high quality of the work in the house. All in all, the entire build process was relatively stress free. We’ve been living in the home for 8 weeks now, and really starting to settle in. We would recommend Nulook wholeheartedly as a builder.
