Architect Chuck Dietsche turned to Melville’s Moby-Dick for inspiration for a fairy tale castle on a human scale with allusions to both whaling and traditional Shingle Style to create balanced and contemplative spaces for rejuvenation and entertaining. Named Castello della Balena, it is currently available for rental on Bald Head Island, and a Whale Cottage inspired home can even be downloaded for your Sims.
