Bathroom - Industrial, recycled, deco with a twist

In keeping with the rustic industrial theme from the kitchen we took on a bathroom facelift in the same vein. There were ugly gloss white tiles on the walls and peeling paint throughout. To save costs I chose to remove only part of the tiling down to Dado height and then cover with recycled timber. This added wall depth lent itself to a perimeter shelf and similar treatment to the bath hob. To continue the copper theme we replaced the electrical plastic conduit with recycled copper and I fashioned a toilet roll holder and towel rails out of copper fittings also. The cabinet I built from recycling an old school locker I sourced, aged, lacquered and then timber topped. Crowned with a bluestone basin and imported matching tap. The basin is semi recessed. Client so happy she wants to leave her job and make furniture with me!
