Approached by current owner of this 10 year old single storey beach holiday home, with gorgeous views to Barwon Heads from the existing living areas. We were asked to help create a permanent two storey home for the owner.
The owner asked that the 2nd storey match the existing home both internal and externally with the pallet of materials and style of finish.
After designing for the City of Greater Geelong’s planning requirements & height restrictions and a steep sloping site, we were able to meet the client’s brief by creating a cathedral ceiling for the proposed upper floor which allow the roof to start at a much lower level.
