An existing 70‘s brick home nestled streets away from the beach, is in dire need of a transformation. The existing home had the bones to accommodate a substantial renovation, some modifications to the layout, adding an extension and exaggerating the existing raked ceilings in the main living area impacts this new home.

Elevating the cabinetry highlights the statement ceiling and draws impact to the overall room. A statement stand alone classic matte black Falmec range hood draws attention to the expansive height of the ceilings.
The oversized rectangular island is centrally positioned and creates an abundance of drawer storage for serving ware and cutlery. The two way breakfast bar lifts the island as it overlaps into the large scale entryway into the kitchen and living area.

Selections of chalky greys and matte blacks are carefully considered with concrete benches, marble and oak. The contrasting matt black separated hood sits beautifully against the sheeted marble splashback, whilst chalky grey cabinetry pops from the traditional white walls, this thoughtfully, dramatises the expansive height of the ceiling. Hints of black are again used throughout the hardware and cohesively transforms this interior.
