Heritage Home – Renovation and Additions to Existing House, Clifton Hill
Renovation and extension to an existing heritage dwelling – designed to accommodate executive living and entertaining.
This was a curious design challenge: one that was to reunite the original house with an existing apartment over. Access (then) to the apartment was from quite a seperate entrance from outside.
The challenge was to reunite the apartment to the main house via an internal stair, connecting the new kids bedroom areas with easy access to the main home and the renovated living areas.
The whole project was an excellent opportunity to respect the significant history and grandeur of the existing residence, while creating new, high-functioning kitchen and living areas at the rear. All complimented by the formal and informal gardens, pool and outdoor living areas.
