Hills Family Home: Ground Floor
WHAT TO DO WHEN ONE HALF OF A COUPLE LOVES LIGHT-FILLED SCANDI AND THE OTHER FAVOURS A DARKER, MORE TRADITIONAL STYLE?
Michelle worked closely with the owners of this large 1980s suburban home to harmoniously marry their differing tastes, express their lifestyle ‘together’ and ultimately create a warm and inviting family home. Using a balance of contrasting elements, it now celebrates the old with the new, simplicity with ornamentation. Opposite design styles are visually connected through colour and a layer of rich textures. The end result is an inviting mix of cosiness, comfort and plenty of individual style.
