Butler’s Pantry & Mudroom dreams! ?

Gone are the days of the formal dining room...

This is one of the coolest projects we have ever done!

What was the brief:
▪️Design a new Butler’s Pantry utilising the unused dining room
▪️Incorporate open shelving for functionality, drawers for storage & additional bench space for prep work to keep the mess out of the kitchen
▪️Create a Mudroom - a place for our kids to put their shoes, school bags, sporting equipment away neat & tidy, but conveniently to grab & go!

What was your starting point for the new design?
▪️We redesigned the kitchen to create the perfect flow and use of the Pantry
▪️The Mudroom was designed with the perfect layout & storage that suited the way their family lived

What was the space like before?
▪️It was an unused formal dining room, wasted space!

What exactly did you do?
▪️We removed the old kitchen corner pantry & fridge space
▪️Reframed the kitchen & pantry wall to include a slide-in cavity door
▪️Built the wall between the new pantry & mudroom
▪️Run the water & waste drainage lines to the pantry sink
▪️Rewired everything for power & lighting
▪️Custom built cabinetry & stone tops in the pantry
▪️Custom built the mudroom cupboards & seat to perfectly fit the space
▪️Installed bulkheads for seamless integration

What challenges did you work around?
▪️The main challenge was getting the water & drainage points into the pantry for the sink. We brought them through the wall from the adjoining ensuite

What are the highlights that make it so special?
▪️The ‘Japanese Traces Plain Black Matt Mosaic’ tiled splashback
▪️The ‘Artwood Black-Blue Parquetry’ tiled floor
▪️Fantastic open shelving & loads of stone benchtop space

This Butlers Pantry oozes style & sophistication! It is large, it has everything you could ever want & it’s so organised

The Mudroom is such a great addition to the home. We love the VJ board along with the simple cabinetry, it looks beautiful
