Tropical Terrace - Alteration & Addition

Perched high above Eimeo village, sits this stunning, bespoke terrace, with sub-terrain garage and whisky room.
The design intended to adhere to the steep slope of the land, capture the most available uninterrupted view. The purpose built garage follows the natural contours of the site, with a rooftop observation deck that captures incredible scenic views to Mackay’s hinterland. Frame-less glass balustrade ensures the view remain obstructed.
Stone pitched retaining walls hug the existing main residence driveway leading visitors to an understated grassy courtyard with timber seating and pizza oven.
Internally the garage contains air conditioning for year round mechanical comfort and epoxy finished floors for easy cleaning. A wall mounted TV adds to the classic “man cave” charm.
The existing residence’s ground floor garage has undergone a sophisticated renovation with a made to order wine and whisky cellar. Dulux 2016 colour of the year was applied to create a moody feel, finished with locally sourced recycled timber shelving. Frameless glass walls and climate controlled air conditioning protect the cellar’s precious stock. A bright and airy gymnasium has been recreated adjacent to the wine and whisky cellar.
Throughout project careful consideration was taken to ensure the finishes used to stage 2 matched the existing residence as near as practicable. This included by not limited to stone selections, external and internal glazing, window and door frame detail, and paint finishes.
The rear of the property has also undergone hardscaping works and the property now utilizes each and every m2 of the 1217m2 land parcel.
