Waratah Project
The brief was the re design of a quaint Californian Bungalow, to expand and open it up to accommodate a young executive couple who were about to start a family.
The original features such as the detailed ornate ceilings, architraves and cornices were retained at the front of the house.
The back of the house was extended and opened up with double high vaulted ceilings to create a beautiful large open open plan living and dining area flooded with natural light and views over the pool area.
The existing garage was converted into a cabana which is currently being used as a home office, but can also be used for guest accomodation or poolside entertaining as it is fully self contained with a bathroom and kitchenette.
The kitchen boast's American oak and polyurethane cabinetry with composite marble bench tops. A central fire place is the hero of the living space with bespoke joinery designed either side including a cosy upholstered window bench seat with storage underneath.
NN Collective oversaw the selection of all materials and finishes, joinery design, furniture selections and window furnishings.
