The back lean-to kitchen addition to the old art-deco house was demolished, leaving the existing house under the main roof.
A new Kitchen/Dining/Living area was constructed as a pavilion, separated from the old house by a small spa bath courtyard.
Orientation to the north, with articulated overhangs and summer shading, creates year-round passive comfort.
