Demolished existing house on the site which had become almost derelict with lack of maintenance for many years. The demolished materials were stored on site for reuse in the new building and sold for use elsewhere. Material sent to landfill was absolutely minimal. The dominant stone wall slicing through the streetfront facade was originally the retaining walls from the old tennis court.
