Sheoak Residence

This was a "difficult" north south axis site, which could have meant lots of windows facing east and west. The owners had a well developed leaning towards something low energy, with passive comfort. We stepped the house downhill, separating the spaces with courtyards, thus achieving protected windows facing north and south. The final space along the spinal corridor is the Living/Dining/Kitchen, which is a self contained pavilion with the butterfly roof separated from all walling by windows, and appearing to float.
