Large Eurilla House
This wonderful piece of Adelaide Hills history was burnt to the ground on Ash Wednesday. it was subsequently partially rebuilt as single story only.
The two story restoration was carried out using old photographs, as no plans existed. The stone for the first floor had to match the existing aged walls, and could not be sourced in the Adelaide Hills where the original stone came from. Eventually a match was sourced in China. The majestic stairwell internally was created using single piece of iron balustrade as the template, which was recovered from the ashes of the ruins.
