This project involved a major extension to an Edwardian cottage to create a substantial family home with large garden and pool.
A contemporary addition was created which opens to the sky and the garden in contrast to the internalised nature of the original home.
Grounded in Minimalism, the design uses touches of form, texture and light to create a softer character than pure minimalism.
The sculptural form of the stair creates a link between the old and the new.
