Smiths Lake House
This is a luxury weekender - designed as permanent camping to make the most of a fantastic waterfront bushland site.
There are two pavilions which step down the site and are linked by the covered steel stair, bedrooms are at the top near the road with views over the lower living pavilion which looks down to the water.
The house was prefabricated as a steel structure to reduce the construction time and cost and mostly craned onto site with little ground works.
The result is an elegant, simple but glorious series of spaces within a significant native forest.
