Bangalow Estate, Byron Bay

A significant portion of our firm’s projects are located in rural settings, often working on large acreage sites. This particular project, located in the Byron hinterland, involved the creation of a family home designed around an existing 80-year-old Morton Bay fig tree.

The building will be constructed from brick and terracotta, taking its queues from the architectural vernacular of European rural structures. The model illustrates the house’s proposed courtyard layout, where the building’s distinct zones provide spatial privacy for the family’s different generations.
