The owners of this gorgeous 1920"s Ashgrove home were in dire need of a makeover of the garden and outdoor living space. The garden space looked cramped and untidy, was not very welcoming and was certainly not suitable for hosting large groups for gatherings and parties.

Also, the connection to the house and pool were not ideal. I created a design which opened up the area completely and felt like it tripled the space. The existing windows in the house were replaced with french doors to connect the indoors with the outdoors. Raised planter boxes and built in seating make the area visually appealing and add height and variation to keep it interesting and allow for the seating of guests.

New white timber fences were added for privacy and glass pool fencing was installed to help connect the pool space with the courtyard. The lightbox is gorgeous at night and allows for soft mood lighting under the stars. The built -in -seating also has soft LED lighting installed underneath.

The owners are thrilled with the results and have been using the space so much more now that the transformation is complete.
