New Wing Designed for Growing Family
Designed by Carmen Darwin http://www.carmendarwin.com
The owners of this home in the leafy suburb of Ashgrove, Brisbane, were bursting at the seams with their growing family. With the initial thought of building under, I discussed with them the idea of adding a new wing joined by a walkway.
The new wing would serve as the area for their teenage children and would house a bathroom and three bedrooms. The result is a seamless connection of old and new that was a great cost-effective solution to their renovation dilemma.
I love the way you cannot easily distinguish between old an new.
