Small Bathroom Renovation
This bathroom designed by Carmen Darwin http://www.carmendarwin.com
With a very small space to work with, a creative design was required to maximise every tiny bit of space.I created a corner shower and on either side and his and hers vanity. This allowed for good storage for two people and meant a bigger shower was possible.
As I am not a huge fan of glass (because it only looks great when it is super clean) I opted for a shower curtain. I used black to compliment the floors and pick up the accents of the black towel rail and light shades.
Instead of using a flat, standard mirror, I bought some off-the-floor mirrors and had them put a moisture protectant on the rear to avoid moisture spoiling the mirror surface. The white subway tiles keep the walls simple and work well with the tongue and groove walls.
HOW TO GET THIS LOOK FOR YOUR TRADITIONAL BATHROOM!
1. Two white vanity units separated by a shower.
2. Traditional tapware.
3. Ornately framed mirrors.
4. Nickel wall lights with black shades.
5. Black and white shower curtain.
6. Suspended nickel shower rod.
7. Cream mosaic floor tile with black mosaic border.
8. White baskets for storage.
9. White subway tiles on walls.
10. VJ panelling for remaining walls.
