This rustic rural home is located adjacent to an inland lake. The sloping-site provided the opportunity to create a split-level home with the main-living floor positioned in the middle of the upper-floor master-suite and the lower-floor bedroom-wing.

The concrete floor slabs were purely experimental with a higher ratio of aggregate to concrete trialed and a lighter pigment concrete that would typically be used. The builder took extra care during the pour which resulted in a seamless floor finish without the requirement of saw cut joints
