Collingwood Kitchen & Powder Room
In this compact kitchen there is no wasted space and nothing the keen cook needs to go without. Drawers, pullouts and special corner shelves increase the storage space without sacrificing easy access.
The kitchen becomes part of the living space by extending open shelves into the dining area. The olive green laminate behind the shelves matches the glass splashback colour behind the induction and gas cooktops.
Two tone laminate cabinetry is in a matt finish with minimal stainless steel handles. White, textured tiles extend to the ceiling on the splashback behind the black sink. The pure white Corian benchtop to the outer edges of the kitchen has a thin sharknose edge which contrasts with the island bench's 60mm thick Juparana Luna granite. A new lowered ceiling has feature uplighting. LED striplights are used under the overhead cabinets and inside the pantry for good task lighting.
To the rear of the kitchen - hidden behind doors in a walkway - is a compact European style laundry leading to a stylish powder room. The black and silver floor tiles extend up one wall with the remaining walls and the door in silver paint. Wall mounted taps are set into the mirror which extends down behind the basin. Corian Raincloud is used for the bench and upright which hides the plumbing point in the concrete slab.
